It's a Zen kind of thing:

My name is Richard Alan,

known in the greater North Park 92104

Area as Richard the WaxMan.

Our Story

In 2012 I bought

a can of caranuba wax and

noticed  how much I loved waxing.

I was mindfully present

and grounded.  My first thought:

"I could make money doing this."

This is how it all started.

​

For the next two years

I waxed cars for donations only

while learning online from

car detailing-masters.

I then began regularly researching

the latest evolution in car care

products and equipment.

​

The result

The past 6 years we received

six awards, for extraordinary

customer service,

unquestionable integrity,

and value. In 2023 we were voted

Best Local Mobile Car Detailing,

​

What no one knows:

 I hire only individuals that aspire to

own there own mobile car detailing business.

Years ago, I owned my own La Jolla based

marketing consulting company.

I love teaching, consulting and coaching.

To date, I have trained about 8 of our

Crew members to own their own business.

This is my way of giving back to already

committed and motivated individuals.

It certainly has made my life easier!

What most people that know me

know about me:

I love drawing as much as I love car detailing.

I don't charge for my art because I make

enough money detailing: we have about 

80 cars on our Maintenance Program.

 

When I am not working I draw, paint and

distribute my originals freely to about 100

retail outlets for employees and customers

to freely enjoy.

Well, that's me and

my life.
